A Radical Culture Deserves an Apostolic Response

by Daryl O’Neil

Today, I want to remind all who are unmarried in the Kingdom, you are a radical generation being raised up to release a radical kingdom response to this culture, which is trying to define who you are! The word radical means extreme, uncompromising revolutionary.

From the life of one of the most radical young men I have become familiar with from the scriptures, I want to equip you to resist the culture of confusion and live in the kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The Kingdom is NOW!

It is worth living right. God never promised a happy life but one filled with Shalom. Peace. I want to empower some and provoke others to take a radical stand to living right and let you know there is a true payoff for doing the right thing.

Daniel, whose name means judge of God and he that judges, has been moved from his own culture into captivity and yet because of his relationship with God he is able to maintain his power to say NO! It is the greatest sign of courage. He has developed the power to say no and do the right thing. Daniel represents a man of discernment. God wants this for each of you and I in order that we might have success.

You were born with purpose from God and a system called Babylon wants to take it away from you. I am SENT to you to help give you practical ways to resist Babylon’s culture.

In order to fulfill purpose for your life, you have got to have some spiritual fight in you. God wants to help empower you to resist Babylon.

• The name Babylon means confusion and mixture. Please remember that. When people are confused, unsure or mixed up, they become muted! They don’t speak up. They don’t manifest courage.

• The origin of Babylon is in the book of Genesis Chapter 11 where Nimrod leads a group of followers to build a city and a tower to heaven to “make a name for themselves”. This is a key statement and a driving force in the hearts of those seduced by Babylon. The spirit of the culture (the way we do things) drives people to want to make a name for them selves!! All that we are taught about Christ centers on the attribute of humility and seeking no reputation.

• Babylon represents all that we face as resistance to the lifestyle God wants for all He loves and all who love Him.

• Babylon’s culture represents pride, selfishness, ambition, seduction and deception. Babylon’s culture is oppressive and it wants us all to forsake our identity in Christ and imprison us.

• Babylon is a habitation for devils, a hold for every foul spirit, a cage for unclean and hateful birds. Kings of the earth commit fornication with her and merchants get rich thru her delicacies. God’s people were seduced by Babylon. God says to come out of her. (Revelation 18:1-6 reference)

• Babylon’s desire is to see people in bondage to: loneliness, fear, worry, anxiousness, poverty, sickness, rejection and lies.

You are to become Zion, the dwelling place of God! Zion, a monument, raised up of God. Daniel and his friends were built in internally to resist all which would imprison them even though they were in captivity to this system, they did not surrender to it.

If you are unmarried, in the Kingdom, I want to encourage you to press into the discipline of Daniel and let the courage, wisdom and strength to say no to the culture of confusion be built within you.

Daniel through his prayer discipline and fellowship with God developed:

1. Courage Daniel 1:8 Daniel had purposed to not defile himself with the kings meat.
2. A Prophetic Spirit Daniel 2:19-23 Daniel’s prayer life opened him to God’s spirit and revelation.
3. Daniel was a man of an excellent spirit, Daniel 6:1-3 and Daniel 5:11-12.
4. Daniel was a governmental man (a leader) Daniel 2:46-49
5. Daniel had supernatural protection. Daniel 6:18-28

Through this young man, Daniel, God was exalted and the powers of Babylon were brought under subjection. He was radical in his love for God and prospered in the midst of a heathen culture. You to as an unmarried man or woman can develop the same resolve and character traits and enjoy the favor of God!

It is time to rise up in the ‘spirit of Daniel’ and overthrow the seduction and lust of confusion and become Zion the dwelling place of Almighty God. I loose you to stand for your Shalom; nothing missing, nothing broken complete and wellbeing! It means safety, security, maturity, victory, prosperity and most of all to finish well.

Prayer in His presence helps to know who you are!  Say, I Know Who I Am!!!
